Councillor “overwhelmed” at Aurora’s sports achievementsAt the September 17 Council General Committee, the Sport Aurora - Aurora Sports Hall of Fame Induction Committee announced the first inductees that will be honoured into the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame. As I listened to the very powerful presentation delivered by Kate Collins, Induction Committee Chair, I was overwhelmed with a sense of pride in what I heard. Announced were Aurora residents, past and present, who have made a significant difference in the world of sports, right here in our own home town. I wish to congratulation Ron Weese, Aurora Sports Hall of Fame Chair and the Board of Governors, for all the hard work accomplished. I look forward to the Induction ceremony dinner being held at The Mansion (Dinardo's) on Wednesday, November 6, and hope to see you there too! Councillor Sandra Humfryes Aurora |
