Children’s Letters to Santa Claus find a way to North Pole via Christmas Mailbox at Yours Conveniently![]() Due to the Canada Post strike, the proprietors of Yours Conveniently created a Mailbox for Letters to Santa to assist neighborhood children during the Christmas season. Long before York Region launched a similar program last week, Jeff and Toni Holley saw the crisis caused by the nation's postal service disruption and concocted a “Letters to Santa Claus Mailbox” with the Jolly Old Elf's approval. Jeff Holley expressed the motivating factor behind this popularly-received initiative that has served kids in northwest Aurora. “The Holidays have always been a magical time for me, so when Santa asked us to help him out, I was thrilled. Who wants to be on Santa's Naughty List!” Toni Holley elaborated on her shop's connection to St. Nick. “Santa shops at Yours Conveniently because he knows he can find unique, one-of-a-kind items to help him with his last-minute gift items.” The welcoming owner, whose delectable London Fog Earl Grey Latte could best be described as a gustatory “Christmas Miracle”, explained how Yours Conveniently entered into a Letters agreement with the North Pole's most prominent resident “Santa knows about the problems that the Canada Post Strike has caused and he wanted to make sure that the children's letters made it to him in time before Christmas.” There's a twinkle in Toni Holley's eye as she describes the request that Santa made: “He asked us to help by collecting the letters here. Over 50 letters were redirected to the Yours Conveniently ‘Letters to Santa Claus' depot. We wanted to remind Santa's helpers that the letters will be ready for pick up on December 16.” The decorative mailbag and mailbox, on display at the Holleys' unique shop at McLeod and Aurora Heights, were brimming with kids' letters to Santa Claus on Thursday night. It's clear from this initiative that Yours Conveniently is, indeed, on Santa's Nice List. It's also evident that neighborhood kids and families will have a “Holley, Jolly Christmas” due to Jeff and Toni's efforts to maintain the epistolary traditions of the Season. By Jim Stewart |
