Her family is from England and her ancestors were members of the military during both World Wars. Her mother was evacuated to Canada, at the age of eight, during WWII to ensure that she was safe and her father was a Royal Marine during the final year of WWII. Each year, the students at TMS are reminded of how fortunate they are and how to appreciate those that made these good lives possible. This year the three year old students at TMS made a bouquet of poppies and the five year old students composed and hand wrote letters to veterans and stories about peace to commemorate this important day. These special pieces of work were delivered to the Royal Canadian Legion, Aurora Branch in hopes that these small acts of kindness would remind our veterans and their families how much we appreciate the sacrifices they made for our benefit.
