Meet the Aurora Tigers – Mitchell Duggan, Defence By Jake Courtepatte Date of birth? April 7, 1997. Hometown? Bolton, Ontario. Where did you play hockey before signing with Aurora? Mississauga Rebels, Midget AAA. What do you like to do outside of hockey? I like to participate in ultimate Frisbee. Favourite hockey player? My favourite hockey player is Nicklas Lidstrom, but my favourite team is the Calgary Flames. Who are your idols / heroes? My role models in my life are my parents and my brother. Favourite pre-game meal? My favourite pre game meal is a bowl of penne al la vodka with a glass of water. Why the Tigers? I believe that the Aurora Tigers are a proven example of an organization that puts the development of the players first, allowing for them to both grow as hockey players but human beings as well. The Tigers are a top contender in the OJHL every year, so I was very excited when I was able to sign with them. Favourite hockey experience? My favourite hockey experience thus far would have to be when I skated out onto the ice at the Aurora Community Center for one of our preseason games for the first time. I realized then that this season was going to be special based on the support of the fans and the caliber of our team. |
