The 11UA Aurora Tigers continued their “Thank You” tour through the town on Sunday afternoon.

As a gesture of thanks and to work on team building, Head Coach Kevin Hart assembled his community of players, parents, and coaches at Sweet Dutchess Kitchen and Café in the St. Andrew’s Plaza.

The team thanked Rob Velenik and Marcia Dellepoort for the proprietors’ generous sponsorship and the Tigers enjoyed delicious gelato while the coaching staff distributed the players’ brand new Aurora rep jerseys and team gear.

Earlier this summer, the 11UA Tigers visited another sponsor—C.R.E.A.M.—where players and parents thanked owner Matteo Pinchera and his staff by getting haircuts during a team-bonding session in the south end of Aurora.

Coach Hart pointed out the benefits of the team’s assembly on the patio of Sweet Dutchess.

“Today’s gear and jersey distribution gives the kids the chance to remember that they are representing their community, their families, and themselves.  The big thing for us today in addition to the team building is to thank Rob and Marcia for their sponsorship.”

Sweet Dutchess proprietor Rob Velenik expressed his gratitude for the team’s visit to his shop and restaurant: “The best part of today is seeing the kids come together and to see the smiles on their faces. We’re really happy to support the sports teams in our community.”
