And many years to come for Hall of Fame inductee(Re: Decades on the Rink, July 3, 2014) It was an honour to nominate Alex Ansell for this award, and hope to clarify one thing in this article: Alex is still very active on the ice, playing hockey in the over-70s division here in Aurora; as well as 3-on-3 over-70s hockey, and in the Senior games over-70s. This currently adds up to three times per week on the ice in winter, and once per week in summer, in addition to coaching the younger guys in the over-60s. I have no doubt that Alex will soon spearhead and participate in an over-80's division. Bill Hack Aurora |
