Aurora painter Geri Adam surveys her in her studio before it was installed at the Aurora Public Library’s Colleen Abbott Gallery this week, where they will be on display through March 1.

Focusing on a journey in the series “Inside Out”, Ms. Adam focuses on what makes today’s youth tick.

“I have always been a wannabe psychologist,” she says. “I enjoy getting to know what makes people tick and what is below the skin. It’s not just about the physical growth [of the youth] but the emotional times with fewer rules, more choices, overload of information and the questioning of religious faith. Do youth in the 21st century enjoy freedom or deal with chaos?”
