Lawsuit letters are “ridiculous”

(Re: Reader fears Council history will repeat itself. October 9, 2014)

I am always amused when Richard Johnson gets into his rambling emails (similar to myself, a few people will say.)
That being said, I am amazed how he has taken a Destroy John Gallo and Wendy Gaertner letter writing campaign. In my opinion, residents see right through this stand and will vote for John and Wendy if they have read everything about them. They have both served the Town well.

I understand that the town had to cover legal costs for the lawsuit for a few thousand dollars, but this amount is nothing compared to the overspending of Mr. Dawe and certain members of Council when they voted in favour of the new joint public works building that started at approximately $15 million and has ballooned to over $25 million.
The Town should not approve this type of building when we cannot afford it. Similar to the renovated Leisure Complex that started at $6 million and now is closer to $10 million.
Again, in my opinion, we cannot afford this type of extravagance at this time. As far as I know both Gallo and Gaertner voted against these expensive wastes of money. I think with a little digging there will be other issues like these that Mr. Johnson should look at rather than this personal attack of two good Councillors from the past term due to the fact that he was part of the lawsuit.

These are my opinions only but I hope that the residents will see how ridiculous Mr. Johnson is being.
