No charges have been laid in an incident involving sign damage on John West Way near Amber Hill Way.

Police were called to the scene at 9.56 a.m. on October 8, regarding a male party damaging political signs.

“With that incident, we were called and we responded,” said Constable Laura Nicolle of the York Regional Police. “We had a suspect initially and that person was spoken to and interviewed, and ultimately no charges were laid. Essentially there weren’t grounds to charge that individual.”

Constable Nicolle added numerous calls regarding sign damage had been received across York Region that can be called in various ways, from theft, to property damage, to disturbed individuals.
