It is a good time to be an art aficionado in Aurora as local artists put their best feet forward for this weekend’s Culture Days.

“Expressions 4 U”, a new exhibition bringing together the work of four members of the Society of York Region Artists, opens this Friday, September 26, at The Patrick House, an art gallery on the northwest corner of Temperance Street and Tyler.

These four artists bring together their love of nature, indigenous people, and even abstracts to show off a variety of styles and tastes. “I hope people take away the variety Aurora artists can offer,” explains Christine Valentini. “Being close to the Cultural Centre, the Library, Aurora has a lot of culture. We’re just part of it and enjoying everything that goes along with it.

Over at the Aurora Public Library, the work of eight artists taking part in the Aurora Studio Tour is now on display for all to see, in conjunction with Culture Days.
