Title: Aurora Optimists are “top club”

The Optimist Club of Aurora is proud to announce that we have been selected as the “Top Club” in Central Ontario by the Optimist Club District Board based on the large amount of activities that we volunteer for and support!  
We also received an award for our high quality monthly newsletter publication, “Opti-Prime” sent to our members and posted on our website to keep everyone engaged and active in our membership.   
Our club has recently wrapped up the annual Chess Tournament for grades 1 to 12, with students playing off against each other to vie for a spot to go to the Regional Chess Tournament, then Provincials!  
Two-hundred-and-ten children from Aurora, Nobleton, King City and Schomberg played in the 18th annual event. We wish to thank all the wonderful students, teachers, parents and Optimist volunteers who participated that day.
