Run was “rousing success”

September 25, 2013   ·   0 Comments

The Terry Fox Run held on Sunday, September 15 at Sheppard’s Bush in Aurora was a rousing success, with approximately 450 participants raising close to $23,000 in support of cancer research.
The volunteer committee would like to thank the local media and merchants who help promote the event, the retailers who donated supplies, the Town of Aurora staff for their support, and the 50 plus dedicated volunteers that make it all happen each year.
We understand that there are many worthy fund raising opportunities and are appreciative of all who participate, some who have made the Terry Fox Run an annual event for decades.
We hope to see you all again next year (Sunday September 14, 2014).
Go to www.terryfox.org for more information on the Terry Fox Foundation and the annual run, both of which are still guided today by the basic fundraising principles of Terry Fox himself: to inspire a Canadian grassroots effort to raise money for cancer research.
