Dawe’s claim “stuns” readerI opened my Auroran last week and was simply stunned to see a big ad for Geoff Dawe where he says he wants to “take a pause” on future development in Aurora. My first reaction was, “are you kidding me?” Geoff Dawe has spent the last eight years rubber stamping virtually every development application that has come before him – including the Highland Gate development. It's a bit late now, mere days from an election, for Dawe to say he wants to “pause” development. Where have you been for the last eight years? Voting yes, yes and yes to any and all development. The voters of Aurora are not fooled by Dawe's belated flip flop on development. We know his track record on development. Taking the pulse of the community and then realising that your only chance for re-election is to take a stand against the very problems you created is a bit laughable and more than insulting to Aurorans.
