The next production of the Silver Stars troupe at the Aurora Seniors’ Centre
is a play in two Acts entitled: “The Revenge of the Red Feather Ladies”.
Six women, all members of the Red Feather Ladies Investment Club, meet at the Fancy Frills Tea Room to share important information. During their luncheon, they discover that, well… you’ll just have to come to find out what they discover and what they do about it, each in her own unique, humourous way.
Performance dates are Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 each, available in March at Reception. Light refreshments will be served at intermission. Don’t miss out as tickets sell out fast!

The Book Club
A book club is a group of people who meet to discuss a book or books that they have read and express their opinions, likes, dislikes, etc. We have two book clubs at the Seniors’ Centre! They both meet on Mondays (on alternate weeks) at 1.30 pm. For example, recently our club discussed “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins. Meet great people with like-interests in books and reading!

Mad Hatter Tea Party
Wear your favourite hat and join other active adults for tea and goodies on Sunday, March 11 from 1.30 to 3.00. Book before March 5th. Tickets are only $6.

Hairspray: the Broadway Musical
Coach bus trips continue at the Aurora Seniors’ Centre throughout the year! Save your seat for something big with Hairspray, the musical-comedy phenomenon that inspired a major motion picture and won eight Tony awards including Best Musical.
It’s 1962…the 50s are out and change is in the air. Baltimore’s Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and even a bigger heart, has only one passion: to dance! Overnight Tracy is transformed from social outcast to teen celebrity. Tracy never dents her “do”!
The comfortable Coach leaves the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex at 9 a.m. and returns at around 6.30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22. Lunch is included! ASA members and non-members are welcome so book for your reserved orchestra seating early at the Aurora Seniors’ Centre. For more details and to book your day-trip sign up at the ASA reception. For more information contact Andrew Bailey at 905-727-3123 X 3611.

As 2018 moves forward, please take advantage of all the Aurora Seniors’ Centre has to offer older adults! It is a real pleasure to share with you the many activities, special events and camaraderie and spirit that the Aurora Seniors’ Centre offers to our active agers! Keep active, and most importantly, keep safe and healthy! And oh yes, save the date! Another fabulous Black Tie Gala Event is on Saturday, May 5. Tickets go on sale March 1. This is not an event to be missed!
