The Battle of Yonge Street series is all tied up.
With just their second win in six years, the Newmarket Redmen took down the Aurora Tigers in the annual weekend series to square the teams at six wins apiece.
Over one hundred games between the rival minor hockey systems were played out over three days, with Newmarket putting up a record of 53-34-17 to take this year’s contest.
Off the ice, over $4,000 in 50/50 raffle tickets was raised by Aurora teams to benefit Ronald McDonald House.
The Redmen jersey will now hang in the Aurora offices until year thirteen of the challenge.
