What happened to eco park?

Is it just me or is anyone else wondering what has happened to this project for Bayview Avenue?
Announced two years ago, it was described as Frank Stronach’s legacy gift to Aurora. The Eco Park was to contain trails and sports facilities and sounded like a very positive and much needed facility.
A facility of use for all Aurorans.
Since the announcement it seems we have heard nothing further. It is to be hoped the initiative has not lost momentum. We hope too our Town Council has its best point people working with Mr. Stronach to “make it happen.”
Opportunities like this for vacant land are rare indeed! A Council that can make it happen would be remembered forever.
