Flags lowered for retired firefighter Sutton

September 14, 2016   ·   0 Comments

Flags are at half-staff at all Central York Fire Services stations in Aurora and Newmarket to honour former Aurora volunteer fire fighter Larry Sutton who passed away on September 11.

“Larry made a great contribution to the firefighting family and dedicated his time to serving
the needs of Aurora,” says Chief Ian Laing. “He will be fondly remembered and greatly
missed by his many friends at Central York Fire Services and our thoughts and prayers are
with his family during this difficult time.”

Larry started as a volunteer firefighter with the Aurora Fire Department in 1967 and retired
as an honorary volunteer firefighter for the Town of Aurora in 1984 – with 17 years of
service with Aurora Fire.
