Panthers come home with Gold again

The Aurora Panthers Midget BB team travelled to Chicago, Illinois to compete in the 2016 Winter Classic from January 16 – 18 and captured gold in a thrilling final game Monday afternoon vs. U19 College Jeanne Sauve Olympiens of Winnipeg.

The gold-clinching goal was scored by the Panthers with only 26.6 seconds remaining in the evenly matched championship game.

The coaches are extremely proud of the high level of compete from all 17 players throughout the tournament to represent Central York Region so well.

This is their third gold medal of the season and the team now returns home to finish off their regular LLFHL season where they currently sit first at 19-0-2.
