Wine tasting for a good cause with the Optimists

The Optimist Club of Aurora is a volunteer group of 50+ members whose mandate it is to help the youth of Aurora.
We support creating an optimistic future for our kids by providing funds for opportunities that some may otherwise miss out on if it wasn’t for our support.
To list a few examples of our work, we send high-risk youth to a survival camp, bought a bed for a destitute eight-year-old, funded medication for a very ill two-year-old, and provide scholarships to local high school kids that reward their community spirit!
As well, we host an annual chess tournament, help sponsor the annual Opti Hockey program, and help sponsor the annual Minor Hockey Showcase Hockey tournament
To help us continue our work in supporting youth, we are holding a fundraising Wine Tasting event on February 5 at the Aurora Cultural Centre from 6 – 10.30 p.m.
There will be four Ontario wineries, three food vendors, a silent auction plus a professional wine taster to guide you through the process.
A live jazz duo will be featured all evening as well.
Tickets are $20 and available at McAlpine Ford Lincoln or by contacting Greg Way at gjway2@gmail.com.
We extend special thanks to our signature sponsor, McAlpine Ford Lincoln, for being a large part to help us raise funds for Aurora’s youth.
