Time for a change, says Kean

(Re: Decorum is needed in discourse, September 17)

Alex is very observant when he states that I will not be voting for Harper.
After nine years of the Harper Government in power, it is time for a change.
Where to start!
I believe that the decorum goes both ways.
In the Harper attack ads, he uses the name “Justin” instead of “Mr. Trudeau.” He has a group of people sitting around judging Trudeau and finally the ad says that Justin is not ready, but nice hair.
The ad has taken parts of Trudeau’s comments and turned them into anti-Trudeau propaganda. Harper has done this type of negative ads over the past nine years and has tried to make his opponents seem incompetent.
As far as my comment “the list goes on and on”, I am glad that Alex mentioned that.
Let’s see: Robocalling; Duffy and Wallin; the total Senate that Harper said he would reform which instead he filled it with his people; Aboriginal rights; advertising signs on every construction site showing that the Conservatives are improving Canada (maybe, but we, the taxpayers, are paying for these ads on the roads, radio and TV); closing Veteran’s Affairs offices; calling for a longer campaign time costing hundreds of thousands of dollars; scrapping the long form census forms; so yes, Alex, the list does go on and on.
If you want more, let me know.
In closing, in my opinion, a new government will save us millions of dollars.
