CHATS grateful for Seniors’ Centre support

I can not begin to thank the members of the Aurora Seniors’ Centre enough for the kindnesses they have shown on an ongoing basis to our clients at CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors!
In just the past few months, just before Christmas, Carol, Marlene and their team packed 75 gift boxes with the support of their membership for appreciative clients at CHATS to enhance their holiday season.
Then, as they have over the past few years, Club President Charles Sequeira promoted our Annual Walk for Wellness in his Senior Scape column, which prompted Senior Club representatives Jim, Sylvia and Joan among others to participate in our Walk in February and raise signifigant funds from their friends and club supporters for the cause!
AND, when asked if the seniors woodworking section would be interested in assembling raised garden boxes at cost, Ron eagerly stepped up and committed to building two such boxes which are now incorporated in the CHATS Therapeutic Garden for our clients to plant and enjoy when the weather gets warmer. Thanks to Home Depot as well for the $100 gift card to lessen the cost of the wood.
To all the Senior Club members, as there is not enough space to name you all, that have stepped up in these and other activities to suport CHATS and our activities, thank you. Your support for our clients and activities is invaluable.
