Blues Fest was “tremendous success”

On behalf of the Aurora Winter Blues Festival (AWBF) Organizing Committee, we'd like to thank the residents of Aurora for their continued support of the AWBF.
Our 4th annual Festival held February 19 to 21 was yet again another tremendous success from the incredible performances, attendance, supporting community events and the increased awareness and support for our charitable benefactors Blue Door Shelters and Community & Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) in which $15,000 was raised bringing our total fundraising to $40,000 over 4 years!
The continued growth and success of the AWBF would not be possible without the support of our many sponsors, local business donations, media partners and volunteers – to all of you we extend our much appreciated thanks for your time, effort and generosity.
We'd also like to express our gratitude to the Aurora Public Library, Aurora Cultural Centre, Theatre Aurora, The ARTS Music Store and our local bar partners (King Richard's and Jonathan's), along with all their great staff, for the support they have given the Festival and the joint programming to showcase many of our talented, local youth musicians/bands. A final thank you to the AWBF Organizing Committee – a special group of 14 individuals who believe in giving back to the community and make it all happen!
We are excited to be recognized this month by Festivals & Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events across Ontario in 2015. This is quite an honor and will lend itself well as we prepare for our milestone 5th Annual Aurora Winter Blues Festival in 2016!
Enjoy the many summer Blues festivals across this great and talented country!
